Kat Stitt is a second year Masters student in the Classical Studies Graduate Program. She graduated from New York University in 2023, where she received a B.A. magna cum laude in Classical Civilization and double minored in Art History and Creative Writing.
Her interests lie in the development of mythology and religion in ancient Mediterranean civilizations and the cross-cultural and environmental influences on this development. She is also interested in studying mythology through related literature, archaeological and epigraphic depictions. Through these lens of study, she wants to reach a broader understanding of regional and obscured mythologies and how religion impacted the daily lives of citizens in ancient civilizations.
