Erag Ramizi is a first-year student in the Classical Studies M.A. program. He studies late-19th-century engagements with classical literature and philosophy, with particular interests in the influence of Greek and Roman antiquity on French decadence, Russian symbolism, and British aestheticism. He teaches in the Undergraduate Writing Program at Columbia. He has published on anachronism, peasants, and ecology.
